"The Lottery in Babylon" is about what the title says. It's a story of a lottery system that went through changes in Babylon. At first, everyone who participated in the game won. But as it was developed, the lottery changed into some winning and some losing. The losers, at one point, might have even had to spend jail time. I thought this story was interesting to read. I think this is because it relates to something that we know of now. I also thought that it was easy to understand. The other story, "The Library of Babel" was also interesting to read. I found it weird that the setting of the story was that of a library, but the library was shaped like a hexagon that was connected to other hexagons. I also found it weird that there were certain numbers of bookshelves in each room and that there were certain numbers of books on each shelf. And that each book contained a set number of pages with a set number of words, and none of this varied in the different rooms. It almost seems like a sort of utopia.
